You may have noticed we haven’t been posting much lately - that’s because we haven’t been moving! We decided to stay in one place for a bit, so we’re renting a cozy little home in Ojai, CA. • We’d been settled in our new spot for a little over a month, when the recent wildfires came through Southern California. We’re safe, our belongings are still here, but we can look down the street and see where the fire was in the hills, less than a mile from our house. It’s heartbreaking, knowing how lucky we were. • One big thing we missed while we were out on the road was being part of a community. We’ve been working with different local organizations (like @helpcalifornia), helping those whose homes are in danger or have been lost. And we’ve been getting more community feels than we could have ever asked for. Over the last few weeks, we’ve laughed with our neighbors and we’ve cried with them too. We’ve watched a community come together and create something that is truly special. In the wake of such a disaster, all the love and kindness has been absolutely beautiful. • We’re taking a much needed trip to Baja for the holidays, but we’ll be posting a little more on what we’ve been up too here soon, so stay tuned! It’s someone’s first birthday! Pepita (aka Pita 🥙, Pete, P-Nasty, The Beast, Demon Creature, The Bean, Frijole Negra, Pita Pants, and Pita Jalapeña) has grown from an untamed Baja pup into the finest trail and crag dog we could’ve ever hoped for. We were hanging with friends in Auburn and debating which way to drive south...via mountains or coast. So we flipped a coin in a dirty parking lot, and the mountains won. The 395 never gets old, especially if you take a quick detour to romp up the Lembert Dome 🐒🏞#tradisrad

Cowabunga! We're officially in Colorado for the first time and lucky that @misadventuretheory showed us some of their secret spots. Don't worry, they even blindfolded us and made a few wrong turns so we had no idea where we were. We've hung out with these two in Canada and Mexico, so it was great to reunite on home turf. These guys are true gems, and glad they've added a third to their tribe 🐶! #creepyvanclub 🚐🎉🍻
